Reflection on facilitating physical connection in long distance relationships. Two stuffed toys, equipped with arduinos, trigger sound output when triggered through pressure input.

The brand identity utilises hand drawn logos and illustrations as an extension of the comforting image of the plushies. The friendly illustrations contrast with the use of emptiness in the illustration, to imply the existence of a pair.
In the prototype phase, the arduinos communicate through wifi. The components include a battery pack, a speaker, the arduino and a pressure sensitivity plate.
The pressure plate is placed directly under the crochet surface of the plushie, so that when it is squeezed, the sound output is triggered on the other plushie. The speakers produce the sound of a purring cat, which in turn gives a slight vibration, making the plushies themselves seem as if they are purring.
